Getting in touch with nature
Starting a school vegetable garden offers our students a hands-on learning experience that integrates various subjects like science, math, and environmental studies. The students learn about plant biology, the importance of nutrition, and sustainable practices. It fosters teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills as students help plan, plant, and maintain the garden. Additionally, it provides a sense of accomplishment and can enhance their understanding of where food comes from and the importance of healthy eating.
Transformation Tae Kwon Do has donated 1 hour a week for the past 3 years to the students at THAT! OutReach after-school program. They teach the 5 core values of Tae Kwon Do and most importantly provide an environment to encourage self-confidence.
